In the cat lover community, the name Muhammad Syahir Zainal is an important name. Before reaching the age he is now, 32 years old. He has achieved the dream of every cat lovers out there, which is to make sure that every cat is treated as a VIP as he, himself owns 19 cats. This dream is shared alongside his partner, Mr M Baaden Asasmulia.

His passion and love for the cats is one of the core reasons why he founded Catzonia on the 10th of April 2015. He is now holding the position as the CEO of Catzonia Hostails Sdn Bhd. While working to build a name for his beloved company, he was awarded the Skim Usahawan Permulaan Bumiputera (SUPERB) in the year 2015. In recent year, 2019, he (and the co-founder) was awarded with SME 100: Fast Moving company 2019, and Catzonia also had been approved as a franchisor by Malaysian Franchise Association (MFA) in the same year.

Before the realization of Catzonia as a company, he then worked in Railway projects for 3 years such as the KTMB’s Electrified Double Track Project and KVMRT, both as electrical engineer. He also has a 5-year experience in Pet Industry in Malaysia. He also runs business Consultation Company as well as financial management company.

Prior to achieving his dreams, he completed and graduated his Degree in Bachelor (Hons) in Electrical Engineering, Stevens Institute of Technology, New Jersey. He then continued to earn his Masters Degree in Electrical And Electronic, Stevens Institute of Technology, New Jersey.

 

 

M Baaden Asasmulia has been appointed as the Co-Founder and Executive Director of the Company since 1st September 2017. He too, a cat lover since he was just a little child. Even though he was constantly scratched and even scratched near his left eyes, his love towards cats did not shift an inch.

As a catlover, your life is not complete if you do not have them as pets, He has a couple of furry companions on his side including a cat named Lester; a rare Nebelung street cat whom he found roaming the streets of Kazakhstan that he has brought home here to Malaysia.

M Baaden Asasmulia brings over 21 years of experience to the Company, from his key roles across a number of different companies in Malaysia, Oman, and Kazakhstan. He joined Petronas in 1998 as a SAP IT Engineer before taking on the responsibilities in 2002 as a SAP PM Trainer & Support Consultant based in Shell IT International, in Cyberjaya, Malaysia. In 2005, he has also held the position of a SAP PM Business Improvement Lead for the Shell Petroleum Development Oman (PDO) business in Oman. In 2012, M Baaden Asasmulia assumed the role of Advisor Maintenance, Integrity and Execution (MIE) for the Shell Kazakhstan region.

Prior to joining the Company, M Baaden Asasmulia was based in Shell IT International, firstly as head of Global SAP PM Trainer and later as the Global SAP PM Support for Shell Global. In addition, he was the member of the Global certified MIE Team and the Oman and Kazakhstan MIE leadership team. During this period, he also had management oversight of the Maintenance Integrity and Execution businesses in Oman and Kazakhstan.

M Baaden Asasmulia is a graduate of the University of North London, United Kingdom with a Bachelors (Hons) in Polymer Engineering and he also took programmes for Masters in Petroleum Engineering for Curtin University, Perth, Australia.
